10. Town Creates Own Store

Found this article online and thought it was interesting because I have never heard of anything like this happening before. A small town created their own department store because theirs closed in 2002 and the next closest store was 50 miles away. Walmart was planning on building a store in their small town but the community decided it would be a better idea to create their own store. The idea of a community as a whole creating their own brand by building a department store of their own was fascinating to me.
