22. The Craziest Shopping Day

I had heard stories but never dared to venture out on Black Friday, and after reading this article I am so glad I didn't even try this year. I was shocked to read that people have pepper-sprayed, shot at and pushed people out of their way to get the great deals offered the day after Thanksgiving. This article also discusses the new levels of crazy that have been reached due to online coupons and stores opening at more ridiculous hours than previous years. I thought that the alternatives that people are coming up with, like Small Business Saturday and increase in sales tax during certain hours, are very interesting. I really do think that something needs to be done before next year because it is definitely getting worse every year.
